Your safe is located in a high-security vault that meets the stringent requirements of security category 4+. This is the highest security category in Belgium. We monitor our fire and burglary-proof safes 24/7.
The contents of your safe deposit box are insured up to €45,000 as standard from a Type A safe. You always have the option of increasing your cover to € 90,000. The cover applies per safe-deposit box. Renting several safes and spreading your valuables will therefore ensure higher cover.

Yes, for this, you appoint a family member or partner as a co-tenant. The co-tenant, like you, receives keys to the safe deposit box and is authorised to open the safe with or without your presence. You are equals for the purpose of the contract. The addition of a co-tenant should be done in person at the branch with the presence of tenant and co-tenant in possession of valid identification such as an identity card.
Yes that is possible. For this, you need to bring a recent extract from the Chamber of Commerce to your appointment. The extract in your name should not be older than 3 months.

You pay a one-off €85 deposit per safe for the keys and lock. If you return all keys at the end of the rental agreement and no payments are outstanding, the deposit will be refunded within a month.
During opening hours, you will visit your safe deposit box free of charge. Above are the opening hours of the CitySafes® Leuven branches.
If one or both keys are lost, we will charge you for this. For one key this is € 300 excluding VAT and for two lost keys you will pay € 600 excluding VAT.
You remain the legal and economic owner of your properties at all times. It does not matter whether your properties are stored in a safe deposit box or in your own bank vault. Unlike in most banks, your properties are not part of CitySafes’ estate in case of bankruptcy.
