Your safe is located in a high-security safe that meets the stringent requirements of security category 4+. This is the highest security category in Germany. This means that, among other things, the safe is excellently protected against fire and theft and is monitored 24/7.
The contents of your safe deposit are insured for €10,000 as standard from locker type “Small”. You have the option of increasing your insurance cover to €45,000 (annual surcharge of €48.00), €90,000 (annual surcharge of €99.00) or €150,000 (annual surcharge of €148.50) at any time. The cover applies per safe deposit box. It is also possible to rent several lockers and distribute your valuables across them to achieve higher cover.
You must be in possession of a valid European identification document and an IBAN. At CitySafes the following documents are valid as proof of identity:
Yes, you can designate your partner or a family member as a co-tenant. Your co-tenant will have access to the safe deposit box just like you with the keys, even if you are not there yourself. Master tenant and co-tenant are equals on the contract. Adding a co-tenant can only be done in person at the office. You must both be present with valid identification to do so.
Yes, you can. To do so, you must bring an extract from the company register with you to your appointment. The extract must not be more than three months old and must contain your name.
Alternatively, you can also bring your company’s VAT number and IBAN with you to the appointment. If all documents are in order, nothing stands in the way of renting your business safe deposit box at CitySafes.
You pay a one-time €85 deposit per safe for the keys and lock. If you return all keys at the end of the rental agreement and no payments are outstanding, the deposit will be refunded to you within one month.
You can visit your safe deposit box free of charge and without restriction on the regular safe deposit box days. Would you like to visit your safe deposit box outside the regular safe deposit box days? This is possible by appointment. CitySafes will charge you an administration fee of € 35,- including 21% VAT.
Should you lose one or both keys, you will also be charged for this. The cost for one lost key is €300,- excluding VAT and for two lost keys it is €600,- excluding VAT.
You remain the legal and economic owner of your property at all times. It does not matter whether you keep your properties in our depot, or in your own safe deposit box. Contrary to the practice of most banks, your property is not part of the estate in case of bankruptcy.
